How Do I Place An Order?
Simple. Stop by our store or WhatsApp on +592 685 6122. We will work with you to finalize all order details.
How Do I Transport My Cake?
Cakes are fragile and must be treated with care.
During transport, cakes need to be on a flat surface. This will minimize the possibility of sliding/damage. Please remember that car seats do have a natural incline and are not suitable for cakes – Especially the tiered ones.
We recommend that a second individual comes along to pick up the cake and hold the cake as the driver pays attention to the road.
Once you receive your cake from us, it is your responsibility to take care of it during transport
Should I Refrigerate My Cake Before My Event?
Well that depends….
Cakes with fondant
We advise that you DO NOT refrigerate cakes with fondant prior to cutting. Once stored in the refrigerator for some time and subsequently removed from the refrigerator, condensation will occur on the fondant and it will become a sticky mess. If you are keeping your fondant cake for more than 1 or 2 days before cutting, place the cake in an air tight container before putting it in the refrigerator. When you are ready to use the cake, bring the cake to room temperature whilst keeping it in the air-tight container. This prevents exposure to moisture.
Cakes covered with cream cheese frosting
These MUST BE refrigerated. Cream cheese is a refrigerated item. After all, you would find cream cheese in the chilled section of the supermarket.
Cake with Buttercream
These cakes can be refrigerated but it is not required if it will be used within a few hours of being picked up. Remove it from the fridge at least 1 hour before cutting/serving.
How Do I Store My Remaining Cake If I’m Not Using All Immediately??
After cutting, the remaining cake should be kept in the fridge or freezer in an AIRTIGHT container to prevent it from drying out. A cut cake left open will always dry out over time.
What Happens If I Miss My Pickup Time?
Cakes must be picked up during our opening hours.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturdays 9am to 2pm.
If your cake isn’t picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled time, we reserve the right to sell or dispose of your cake
Would Rain/Humidity Affect A Fondant Cake?
YES! Horribly so!
Humid and rainy conditions will affect fondant. Fondant loves moisture and will appear shiny and sticky. In some instances, certain colors like black will run and lose shape. This is an environmental condition and is difficult to avoid in our tropical conditions. Storing the cake in a dry air-conditioned room will help but isn’t always a guarantee.
